AutoQuote3D vs Quot3D

Quot3D is not Quote3D. Both products put a quote widget on your site. Quot3D says the price matches your desktop slicer because it uses the profile you export from OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, or SuperSlicer. AutoQuote3D prices the uploaded file in the Widget too. For FDM, our quote engine slices on the server with PrusaSlicer. It does not import that desktop profile. The customer can pay in the Widget, and the Order stays in your dashboard.

When to pick which

Choose AutoQuote3D when…
You want a Widget, rates you set in the dashboard, Stripe checkout, and Orders, and you do not need the quote to load an exported Orca or Bambu profile.
Consider Quot3D when…
Your prices depend on a tuned OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, or SuperSlicer profile, and you want the quote to use that file.

What slicer accuracy means here

Quot3D's pitch is the profile you already use. You export it from OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, or SuperSlicer, upload it, and they say material use and print time come from that profile. That is the thing to test if a tuned printer profile is how you price today.

For FDM, AutoQuote3D slices the model on the server with PrusaSlicer. The slice loads a profile we ship, then applies that Part's infill, units, bed size, maximum print height, and orientation. Filament length and support length from the gcode go into the price, with the rates you set: price per gram, a quantity curve, a startup cost, and a per-piece fee. If you set both a flow rate and an hourly rate, machine time is estimated from the filament volume and that flow rate. We do not import a desktop profile, and we do not bill the print-time estimate PrusaSlicer writes into the gcode. SLA and powder Parts are priced from volume and your material rules, not from that FDM slice.

The widget is not the whole product

Quot3D collects payment with Stripe Connect on paid plans, or sends the customer to a payment link you provide. The free plan can still produce a quote, and they say payment is arranged separately. AutoQuote3D takes Stripe payment in the Widget. When a Business has connected its Shopify store, checkout creates a draft order and the customer pays on Shopify's checkout link. The Order stays in the AutoQuote3D dashboard either way.

Their plans are on the homepage: Free, then $29, $49, and $79 a month, with a 14-day trial and no credit card. Ours are Starter $25, Professional $50, and Service Bureaus $175 a month. Set up a Business and price a Part before you pay. The 14-day plan trial starts when you check out for a subscription.

What AutoQuote3D costs

You can set up a shop and try a quote without paying. Taking customer payments needs a plan or the 14-day trial. We do not take a cut of orders. Stripe still charges their processing fee.

Professional

Before you switch

  1. Slice one of your real files in the desktop profile you would upload to Quot3D, then quote that same file in AutoQuote3D.
  2. Compare filament, support, and time. Our FDM time comes from filament volume and your flow rate, not from the slicer's time estimate.
  3. Finish a payment in each product and see where the Order shows up for your team.

Don't take your public quote link down while you test. Price a real job and finish an order first. For AutoQuote3D setup, see our tutorials or talk to us about your shop.

Common questions

Does AutoQuote3D quote with my OrcaSlicer or Bambu Studio profile?

No. For FDM, AutoQuote3D slices on the server with PrusaSlicer, using a profile we ship plus the Part's infill, units, bed size, print height, and orientation. It does not import an OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, or SuperSlicer profile. Quot3D says it does.

Does AutoQuote3D use PrusaSlicer's print time?

No. The FDM slice supplies filament length and support length. Machine time is added only when you set both a flow rate and an hourly rate, and that time is estimated from the filament volume and the flow rate.

Does Quot3D have an API or MCP?

We did not find a public REST API or an MCP server on their site. They document an embeddable widget and slicer-profile import. AutoQuote3D publishes a REST API and an MCP server.
