Compared with AMFG
AutoQuote3D vs AMFG
AMFG is for low-volume, high-mix manufacturing: quoting and production across CNC and 3D printing, with scheduling and the shop floor on the wider plan. AutoQuote3D is narrower. Customers upload a print file, get a price from your rules, and pay. You manage the Order from there. If you machine parts and need production in the same system as additive quoting, that is their pitch. If you need a quote Widget and a dashboard for a print service, that is ours.

When to pick which
- Choose AutoQuote3D when…
- You run a 3D printing Business and want quoting, checkout, and Orders without a manufacturing execution system.
- Consider AMFG when…
- You quote CNC as well as additive, or you want scheduling, route cards, and shop-floor tools in the same product.

They are selling a wider factory
AMFG's site is quoting plus production: estimate the part, schedule it, and run it across machining and additive. The additive page describes an instant quoting portal, scheduling, and traceability. CAD files on the pricing page include STEP, STL, SLDPRT, PRT, and x_t. AutoQuote3D is the front of a print service: upload, price, pay, track the Order. You can connect Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor from there. You do not get CNC estimating, route cards, or machine integration from us.
That width fits a Business that mills and prints, or that wants one system from the RFQ through the floor. It is a lot if the job is to stop emailing STLs and waiting for a number.
They do not publish a monthly price
The pricing page lists Quoting, and Quoting & Production, and it does not show a dollar amount. The FAQ says onboarding has an additional one-off charge, then a customer success manager. AutoQuote3D lists Starter, Professional, and Service Bureaus below, from the same catalog as the pricing page. You can set up a Business and quote a Part before you pay.
They also publish an MCP server that connects ChatGPT and Claude to quotes, orders, costs, and production. We have an MCP server too, plus an official Claude connector and an official ChatGPT plugin. Their page names ChatGPT, Claude, and other MCP-compatible tools. Try the assistant workflow you actually want on each product, including whether a public API is documented or built for you.

Before you switch
- Quote a typical 3D print in both products with your real materials and margins.
- If you need CNC milling, turning, or shop-floor scheduling, try those on AMFG. We do not do them.
- Ask AMFG for the monthly price and the onboarding charge, and put that next to the plan you would buy from us.
Don't take your public quote link down while you test. Price a real job and finish an order first. For AutoQuote3D setup, see our tutorials or talk to us about your shop.
Common questions
Is AutoQuote3D an AMFG alternative?
For a 3D printing Business that wants online quoting and Orders, yes. Not if you need CNC, scheduling, route cards, and shop-floor tools in one platform.
Does AMFG have an API or AI?
They publish an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude, and other MCP-compatible tools, and Sentinel as an AI quoting assistant. The pricing page says their team can set up bespoke APIs. We did not find a public OpenAPI document. AutoQuote3D publishes OpenAPI, an MCP server, an official Claude connector, and an official ChatGPT plugin.
