Order management
Order management software for 3D print shops
Track paid orders from payment through printing, pickup, and shipping, with customer status emails.
A paid quote becomes an order
A customer uploads a model, gets a price from your rules, and pays. That payment creates an Order, the record your print shop works from. You can still edit the original Quote later. Those edits do not change the Order.
Checkouts that were started and not finished stay on the list as Pending, next to jobs that are waiting on review (Authorized) and jobs that are already Paid. On the Professional and Service Bureaus plans, an approved customer can pay by invoice. That Order is marked Invoiced until it is paid. Starter does not include pay by invoice.
Production status your team can see
The order list is grouped into Intake, Production, Fulfillment, and Closed, so everyone can see what is next.
Intake is new work, before a job is on a printer. Production is Printing and jobs that are already printed. Fulfillment is Shipped or Ready for pick up. Closed is work that will not be printed. The order management tutorial lists every status.
You set the status. Each Order keeps the Parts, the customer, and where the job stands. AutoQuote3D does not connect to your printers or print shipping labels.
The shop and the customer both hear about it
When a customer pays, AutoQuote3D emails the address you set for order notifications and sends the customer a confirmation. If you have not set that address, the shop email goes to the account owner. The shop email links back to that Order.
When you change the status, the customer gets an email that names the new status. You can add an optional message and CC other addresses. Replies go to your reply-to address, or to the account owner if you have not set one.
Notes and roles for the print team
Leave a staff-only note on an Order. Tie the note to one Part when it is about a single file, and mention a teammate. Mentioned teammates get an email. Customers never see these notes.
Invite people as Owner, Admin, or User. All three can create, update, and read Quotes and Orders. Owners manage who is on the team and payment settings. Admins can read settings but cannot change users or payment settings. Users work Quotes, Orders, and customers without settings access. Starter includes 1 user, Professional includes 2 users, and Service Bureaus includes up to 5 users.
