Authenticator 2FA for Your Shop Logins

Staff passwords open quotes, orders, and customer files. One more check at sign-in (an authenticator app) goes a long way. I'd put that on every AutoQuote3D shop.

Google and Microsoft aren't soft on this. Google tells admins to enforce 2-Step Verification on accounts that handle business data (Protect your business with 2-Step Verification). Microsoft's number: with MFA, an account is more than 99.9% less likely to get compromised (Require MFA for all users).

So we shipped it.

Start with your own login

Open Account security and enroll an authenticator app. The next sign-in is your password plus a code from your phone. Keep the backup codes somewhere real (not a sticky note on the monitor).

Require it for the team

Owners and admins can require it for everyone on the team. Flip that in Business settings after you've enrolled yourself. Widget customers don't see any of this.

If you flip the team switch, give people a day or two so nobody gets locked out mid-shift.

One more thing under Account: you can change your email or password yourself now. No support ticket.

If something looks off after you enroll, tell support what you expected.
